The trademark Soave was born in 1935. The firm was established by Domenico Bianco who opened the first factory for the production of "pasta" in Francavilla Fontana.
In the following years and up to 1970, thanks to the high quality standard and to a more careful choice of the raw materials, there was an increase in demand which was faced by the factories in Rome and Taranto. In 1975 Domenico's son Leonardo, who had received from his father the reins of the firm, began an important and difficult conversion of the activities. It was the period of the so-called "intelligent diet". In such a context frozen food became the centre of attention. The continuous investments, aimed at technological and qualitative improvements, allowed an increase in supply and the success of frozen "Mediterranean" specialities. Today the Biancos manage the firm combining the high automation of the production system with a long experience of direct management. An entrepreneurial vocation, therefore, has always characterized this family, enabling them to perceive the market changes and, consequently, to let the trademark SOAVEGEL grow both at national and international level.
